Question 1

Where are Fabél pieces made?

Accepted Answer

Everything is handcrafted in our studio in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Question 2

What materials do you work in?

Accepted Answer

Solid brass, bronze, and copper. We don't plate — every piece is built from the metal all the way through so it can be refinished years later.

Question 3

Do you take bespoke commissions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Most of what we make is bespoke or made-to-order. Start with the contact page, or design a framed mirror to your own size with the mirror designer.

Question 4

How long does a commission take?

Accepted Answer

Most pieces ship four to six weeks from order. Larger commissions take eight to twelve.

Question 5

How should I care for my piece?

Accepted Answer

See the Care & patina page — short version: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and let the metal age on its own. If you want to refresh the finish, send it back to us.

Question 6

Do you ship internationally?

Accepted Answer

Yes, worldwide. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
