Care & patina

Brass, bronze, and copper are living materials. They respond to touch, light, and the chemistry of a room. With almost no effort they develop a depth of character that plated finishes can't match.

Day-to-day: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For fingerprints use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners and the common household sprays — they'll strip the surface you're trying to build.

If you want to slow the patina: a light coat of renaissance wax every six months will hold the finish close to its original tone.

If you want to restore the original brightness: a proprietary metal polish will bring brass and copper back to near-new. Bronze patinates more deeply and resists reversal — we advise leaning into it rather than fighting it.

If you'd like a piece refinished back to fresh, send it back to the studio and we'll do it by hand.
