Why we work in brass, bronze, and copper

Brass, bronze, and copper are the three metals that run through every Fabél piece. Each one behaves differently under the hand, carries its own warmth, and — most importantly for us — ages in ways that reward the years you spend with it.

Brass is bright and responsive. Bronze is weighted and patient. Copper is warmer still, and moves fastest when finished with an open patina. Choosing between them is usually about how you want the piece to settle into a room.

We work in solid metal, not plated. Every piece is built from the material all the way through, so it can be refinished decades later if you want a new character.
